About the Hiring Event:
Wise Minds Therapeutic Services LLC is hosting a Hiring Event with On-the-Spot Interviews for Community-Based One-to-One Support Staff. We are seeking dynamic individuals to provide direct supervision, mentoring, and behavioral support to youth in out-of-home care.
This role focuses on ensuring the safety, stability, and emotional well-being of youth while helping them build social, coping, and life skills in preparation for long-term success.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Direct Support & Supervision
✔️ Provide one-to-one supervision and support in home, school, and community settings
✔️ Model appropriate social, coping, and communication skills
✔️ Support youth in developing independence and emotional regulation
✔️ Accompany youth to appointments and community-based activities
✔️ Maintain professional boundaries using a trauma-informed approach

Behavioral & Clinical Support
✔️ Implement individualized behavioral strategies and service plans
✔️ Participate in crisis prevention and de-escalation interventions
✔️ Monitor and document behavioral progress and daily activities
✔️ Communicate with supervisors regarding youth progress and concerns
✔️ Reinforce positive behaviors and support youth during challenges

Documentation & Compliance
✔️ Complete service notes, reports, and timesheets accurately and timely
✔️ Maintain confidentiality and comply with DHS, COMAR, and agency standards
✔️ Participate in supervision, team meetings, and required trainings

Requirements:
🔹 21+ years old with valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
🔹 High School Diploma/GED + 2 years experience OR Associate’s degree + 1 year in human services
🔹 Experience working with at-risk youth preferred
🔹 Strong communication and documentation skills
🔹 Must pass CJIS background check, CPS clearance, and fingerprinting

📚 Training & Certification Requirements:
Preferred at hire but required upon onboarding:
- CPR & First Aid
- Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI)
- Trauma-Informed Care
- Mandated Reporter Training
- HIPAA / Confidentiality
- DHS onboarding and orientation
Training support and reimbursement available
🔁 Ongoing Professional Development:
All staff must complete two (2) in-service trainings annually, including:
- Child Safety
- De-escalation Techniques
- Youth Engagement Strategies
- Executive Skills Coaching
Schedule & Compensation:
🕒 Flexible schedules (day, evening, weekend availability)
💰 $20 - $25 per hour based on experience
